BETWEEN THE WARS
(1919-1939)

The National Red Cross Societies decided to put their large numbers of experienced personnel to the service of humanity in time of peace. They created the League (now the International Federation) of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which is devoted to providing social assistance and disaster relief. These new activities are presented in a film.

In 1929, the Red Crescent was officially recognised and adopted by all the Muslim countries.
